OUR SERVICES

Your flat roof, considered as a complete system.

Replacing a flat roof involves more than installing a new membrane. The deck, insulation, vapour control, slopes and waterproofing details all contribute to the result. Secure-Toît uses a white 60 mil TPO membrane for its TPO replacement work across Greater Montréal, with the assembly selected to suit the building and the project.

Assess before covering

The assessment helps determine which components can remain and which need removal or correction. Deck condition, signs of moisture, earlier repairs and water outlets all deserve attention. The quote should distinguish planned work from conditions that can only be confirmed after opening the roof, so the owner understands how unforeseen deterioration will be addressed.

Install a 60 mil TPO membrane

White TPO forms the waterproofing surface. Seams are hot-air welded, while details around drains, vents and parapets are integrated into the assembly. Our technical page explains the roof layers, automated Leister welding and Premium Flash prefabricated accessories used in our approach. Equipment supports consistent work; preparation, settings and checks by the crew still matter.

Plan the work and the handover

Access, material handling, debris removal and building constraints are planned with you. Seams and sensitive details are checked before handover. Ask for maintenance guidance and the warranty terms applicable to the selected assembly. Coverage depends on the products and the contract; the useful reference is the written documentation for your own project, not a general lifespan claim.

Answers to your questions

Before you start.

Why do you use 60 mil TPO?

It is the thickness selected for our TPO replacement work, approximately 1.52 mm. Roof performance also depends on the complete assembly, installation and treatment of details.

Is a white roof mandatory in Montréal?

Requirements vary by borough and project. The proposed covering, building characteristics and required approvals should be checked with the municipality before work begins.

Must the insulation be replaced at the same time?

That depends on its condition and the selected assembly. Wet or unsuitable insulation, or drainage slope corrections, may require work beyond replacing the membrane alone.
